- When will you receive your keys?
- Where should you park on moving day?
- How do you pay rent moving forward?
Set Up Your Utilities
- Double check lease to see what utilities are included
- Some utility companies do not recognize the address “West Sheridan,” therefore, tell them “North Sheridan.”
- · The correct address is West Sheridan.
- Gas– www.peoplesgasdelivery.com
- Electricity– www.comed.com
- Cable & Internet – If you want.
- Stop service for your current unit
Schedule Movers
- Be prepared to give descriptions of items being moved and a count of how many stairs they will need to climb to move your stuff
Change Your Address
- Contact USPS- www.moversguide.usps.com
- Also, update bank, credit cards, medical office, subscriptions as well as friends and family
Research Neighborhood
- Where is the local grocery store, cleaners, gym, etc.?
- Moving in the summer? Check calendar of events for any festivals happening on the weekend of your move. Will this affect parking or movers?
Pack and Clean your Current Place
PARKING
We do have a few parking spots available, however, they are currently all being rented. Feel free to reach out to KATE, if you would like to be added to the waiting list.
For Wrigleyville, parking is pretty easy if you have a 383 parking permit. This permit is an additional $25.00 for the year, on top of your $100 City Sticker.

RECYCLING INFORMATION FOR TENANTS
The Chicago Recycling Ordinance requires that landlords educate tenants about the city’s single source recycling program. Recyclables should be deposited loose (not bagged) into the Blue Lid Dumpster. You do not need to separate different types of recyclables.
RECYCLE:
- Aluminum & Steel Cans: Empty & Rinse
- Food & Beverage Cartons: Empty & Replace Cap
- Bottles & Jars: Empty & Rinse
- Mixed Paper, Mail, Newspaper & Magazines
- CLEAN, BROKEN DOWN & FLATTENED CARDBOARD BOXES
- Plastic Bottle Containers (Kitchen, Laundry & Bath): Empty & Replace Cap
DO NOT RECYCLE:
- Plastic Bags
- Food or Liquid: Empty all containers
- Tanks
- Tanglers (NO Hoses, Wires, Chains, or Electronics)
- RECYCLABLES SHOULD NOT BE IN PLASTIC BAGS
CONTAINER IS LOCATED BEHIND THE BUILDING - NEXT TO THE BRICK GARAGE - CENTER DUMPSTER WITH BLUE LID. Recycling is picked up on WEDNESDAYS by Republic Services.
